How do I know if I would benefit from parent consultations?

Whether you are a parent that has ongoing struggles or you are a parent that prefers to take action before problems arise most parents could use support from time to time.  Parent consultations are for people who have questions about their child’s development and want a better understanding of how they can support them by setting them up for success and reduce unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Parent consultations are for parents who want:

✓To learn how to identify triggers & support their child.
✓Build effective techniques & skills to implement confidently when challenges arises.
✓Learn how to be consistent with their follow through so expectations are clear and effective.
✓Reduce unnecessary power struggles and develop family balance and organization.

Do you schedule sessions with clients in the evening or on the weekends?

Services are offered Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm, there are certain instances where I am able and willing to accommodate families outside of those hours (excluding weekends) by virtual services such as Skype or by phone. If this is your situation, don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss details.

What is your cancellation policy?

Being a parent myself I understand that things may come up from time to time that causes a family to cancel a session.  Missed or cancelled sessions will be replaced at the earliest time pending on the consultant’s schedule or will be supplemented with a phone consultation.

Where do you see clients?

Services are offered in the comfort of your own home, by phone or via virtual services such as Skype or FaceTime. For packages that include your child’s involvement, sessions will take place in your home or out in the environment where challenges typically take place.

What are your fees?

I offer a variety of packages to fit the family’s needs. Fees vary based on the type of package and program duration.  Fees are always discussed prior to meeting with a family so that they select the package that best suits their needs and are clear on the financial investment they are making.  Feel free to get in touch if you have questions about specific services or packages.

What type of payment do you take?

Packages can be paid for by e-transfers, cheque or cash. Payments can be made in full or monthly depending on the length of services.

Are you covered by insurance plans?

Services are not covered by insurance. This investment is the client’s responsibility.  Invoices and receipts are provided to each family. However, families have been reimbursed for service by submitting these invoices to various special needs funding (Special Needs At Home Funding, Ministry of Children & Youth Service funding through CHEO’s ABA program). Families are encouraged to confirm prior to submitting receipts.
